Professional Biography
Jeffrey Albright has over twelve years of experience working in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. His
primary area of expertise is within managed markets and product reimbursement where he has experience
working with multiple payer types and managed market channels.
He is currently the Director of National & Government Accounts for Jazz Pharmaceuticals, a start-up
specialty pharmaceutical company focused in developing and commercializing products in neurology and
psychiatry. Mr. Albright is responsible for establishing overall product reimbursement and contracting
strategy as well as managing a nationwide team of National Account Managers.
He started his career with Abbott Laboratories, a top-ten global pharmaceutical company with annual
revenue of 22.5 billion. During his time at Abbott, Mr. Albright held six positions of increasing responsibility
in Field Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Training, Project Management and Managed Care.
He then went on to help establish the commercial team at BioMarin Pharmaceutical, a biotech start-up
company specializing in orphan drugs. During his time at BioMarin, Mr. Albright held the position of Director
of Managed Markets where he built the department from the ground up and spearheaded one of the
pharmaceutical industries first brand-over-generic contracting initiatives.
He then went on to play a significant role in the launch of three new products at Cephalon, an international
bio-pharmaceutical company specializing in the areas of central nervous system (CNS) disorders, pain,
cancer and addiction. During his time at Cephalon, Mr. Albright held the position of National Account
Manager and was instrumental in gaining reimbursement for Cephalon products within some of the nations
largest managed care organizations.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication with a minor in Marketing from the
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
